LLORENTE & CUENCA ranks first in Spain on the latest Mergermarket PR advisor league tables

LLORENTE & CUENCA, ranks number one on PR advisor league tables in Spain by transaction value, according to the latest Mergermarket ranking. It places 13th among the world’s leading agencies and 10th in Europe, reinforcing its position among the major firms worldwide.

LLORENTE & CUENCA has advised on a total of 12 operations valued at US$46.767 million and rose three places in the Spain ranking with a combined value of US$45.287 million.

Three of the agencies of the AMO international PR agency network to which LLORENTE & CUENCA belongs are among the top 10 in the world: Abernathy McGregor Group (6th), Ashton Consulting (8th) and Maitland (10th).

The financial communications team led by Jorge Lopez Zafra has advised on the most important corporate transactions in Spain during the first half of 2018. Among deals that led to the company heading the list in Spain was the takeover bid by Atlantia for Abertis, the bid launched by Minor of Thailand for NH Hoteles, Iberdrola’s offer for Eletropaulo, the sale of a 49% stake in Luton Airport by French fund Ardian, the acquisition of a minority stake in the MKD group (also by Ardian), advising King Street on its acquisition of shares in Moove Cars and the sale of Megafood to Burger King. The financial communications team also participated in the IPOs of Robot SA and Berkeley Energía in 2018.
