Susana Camarero, LLYC’s new Senior Political Context Director for Spain

Susana Camarero joins LLYC as Senior Political Context Director for Spain. Her job will entail furnishing customers with the best analysis for decision-making in a changing environment and in a particularly important year with elections looming. She will report to Carmen Muñoz, Senior Public Affairs Director at the Madrid office.

A native of Madrid, Camarero holds a degree in law. She is a professional with extensive experience in public management. She was Secretary of State for Social Services and Equality (2014-2016) and has an extensive career in parliament. She has held seats in the Spanish Congress and Senate, in addition to her regional experience as first secretary of the Board of the Valencian Parliament and as secretary general of the PP party in Valencia.

Susana is a lawyer, specializing in equality and diversity. She currently chairs the National Confederation of Women in Equality. As rapporteur, she ushered in the Comprehensive Protective Measures against Gender Violence Act (Law 1/2004) and the Effective Gender Equality Act (Law 3/2007).

This team of approximately one hundred professionals works across all of the firm’s operations in Europe, Latin America and the United States. In Madrid alone, the team comprises well over 40 professionals.
