Luis Miguel Peña takes on post of Chief Talent Officer at LLYC

LLYC strengthens its talent department and boosts growth in Latin America. Given the new challenges facing the communication and public affairs consultancy firm, Luis Miguel Peña – a partner at the firm – takes on the role of Chief Talent Officer, to contribute to doubling the size of the business over the next five years, which will require the incorporation of more than 300 new consultants. He takes over the position from Nazaret Izquierdo, who leaves the firm to take on new professional challenges. Luis Miguel Peña will report to José Antonio Llorente, founding partner and Chairman of LLYC.

Luis Miguel Peña, with almost 20 years’ experience at LLYC, was running the Andes Region before, where, since his arrival, he has generated growth of 25%, achieving the targets of the firm’s strategic plan. As Chief Talent Officer, he will head up the strategy for new hirings, selection processes and engagement, and will press on with the digital transformation of the department. “We are a professional services firm, where talent is key for turning our value commitment into reality. We must speed up the incorporation of new profiles and integrate new skills, continuing with our goal of employing the very best professionals at our firm”, stressed Luis Miguel.

At the same time, María Esteve, a partner at the firm and Managing Director for Colombia for the last 10 years, today takes on the General Management of the Andes Region, with direct responsibility for the operations in Peru, Colombia and Ecuador. María has been heading up LLYC’s growth in Colombia, achieving levels of growth in excess of 25% in recent years. She has managed to place LLYC among the three leading communication consultancy firms in Colombia, running a team of more than 45 professionals.

By making these changes, the firm continues to develop its strategic plan and strengthens its management team to address the challenge of enhancing its leadership and global growth. José Antonio Llorente, Chairman of LLYC, claims that “it is a luxury to have a team of professionals that are always willing to take on new challenges and contribute to the growth of the firm. These changes clearly make us stronger in a key department for us such as talent, which we are appointing a partner to head up, thus giving our future a very positive projection”.

LLYC speeds up action to continue with its challenge of remaining at the vanguard in the world of reputation and communication.
