LLYC has won two new awards at the El Ojo de Iberoamérica 2021 Festival, held this week in a virtual format. Specifically, the campaign “The last straw”, developed by the firm for McDonald’s, won two bronze awards in the “EL OJO MEDIA: Institutional, sponsorship and CSR” and “EL OJO PR: Communication actions and corporate reputation” categories. This project was developed by the teams from Consumer Engagement, Creative Studio, Public Affairs and Financial Communication departments.

For its part, CHINA (part of LLYC) has won four awards at this event. The project “Sé más viejo” for Adolfo Domínguez won a silver award in the “EL OJO EFFICACY: Sustained success” category. In addition, the campaign “Banderas” won two bronze awards for the same client, in the “EL OJO AUDIO-VISUAL PRODUCTION: Low budget” and “EL OJO FILM: Stores open to the public, supermarkets and online stores” categories. The final bronze award was for the project “The hotel” for Seagram’s Gin of Pernod Ricard España in the “EL OJO FILM: Drinks” category.

“We are very pleased to continue our excellent relationship with El Ojo. This is a festival that rewards courageous proposals, one we can particularly identify with”, stresses Julio Alonso Caballero, Executive Creative Director of LLYC.

Rafa Antón, Partner and Executive Creative Director of CHINA, points out that “it is impossible to fully understand Latin advertising without a festival such as El Ojo. We are proud to continue forming a small part of its history”.

Ojo de Iberoamérica 2021 is one of the most important international festivals in the sector. Each year, it recognizes the best and most innovative communication ideas in Ibero-America. It rewards the track-record and performance of the benchmark communication companies and professionals in each country and includes a cycle of lectures with specialists, including the participation, at this year’s edition, of David González Natal, Partner and Global Head of Engagement at LLYC, with his speech “El despropósito del propósito?” [Is purpose nonsense?].

Following the awards received at this festival, LLYC has now won 117 national and international honors this year.
