LLYC acquires Colombian innovation consultancy firm, Adaptative
LLYC has announced its acquisition of the Colombian innovation consultancy firm Adaptative, and that its founder and CEO, Andrés Venegas, will join the LLYC team in the Andes Region. This operation will allow LLYC to offer innovation methods to its clients in search of creative and effective solutions to their most sophisticated challenges. From Design Thinking to Growth Hacking or Agile, this type of approach has demonstrated it can offer high impact and immediate results provided there is an in-depth understanding of when it is suitable and how it should be deployed.
Adaptative is an Innovation As A Service (IAAS). It was set up in 2006 following the creation of cultural engineering firm Meta Latam. Over the years, it has evolved into what it is today; a company offering a proprietary innovation method that combines research, design and implementation for research, strategy, prototyping and user experience (UX) projects.
Andrés Venegas is the founder of Meta Culture Engineering and Adaptative. He holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Los Andes (Bogota). Since its early days in 2006, he has obtained highly significant results from providing insights for the restructuring of brands such as Alpina, Copa Airlines, Crepes & Waffles, El Tiempo and Helm Bank, among others.
Adolfo Corujo, Partner and Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer at LLYC believes that “the move is a highly significant step in the firm’s strategy to continue innovating in how the communication and public affairs sectors overlap and study the challenges of their clients, and in how solutions are considered, tested and implemented, while the value they bring is measured. With the methods and experience of Adaptative, we are again stepping out of our comfort zone in search of bringing even more added value to our clients.”
Andrés Venegas believes that “joining a top firm like LLYC, which understands the added value and the future of innovation applied to communication and marketing, will allow us to continue developing the Adaptative method and apply it in the 13 markets where the firm operates. I am very glad to be able to share my expertise with an extraordinary team of professionals, who will accompany me on this task.”
With the acquisition of Adaptative, LLYC continues to strengthen its innovation offering. It reached a strategic agreement with Voikers this year, a voice strategies company, to help companies successfully anticipate the large-scale implementation of relations via voice and audio devices with their clients, employees and investors. It also announced its partnership this year with the digital entrepreneurship ecosystem, The Hub of Brands, to join forces on projects that can help their clients generate engagement and build trust with their audiences through digital, technology and creative solutions.
In late 2019, LLYC also joined Barcelona Tech City as a corporate partner, a private association that represents over 900 companies in the technology and digital sector and that stands as the benchmark cluster in the sector in Southern Europe. As part of this commitment to innovation, it joined Torre Juana Open Space Technology in Alicante, a community of companies that collaboratively tackle the challenges posed by new disruptive technologies, such as AI, Big Data, IoT and Blockchain.
