Javier Marín joins LLYC as a Senior Director of Healthcare Americas

LLYC announced today the appointment of Javier Marín as Senior Director of Healthcare Americas, a position he will hold from LLYC’s office in Mexico.

Marín has more than 20 years of experience in this area of expertise, at both the public and private levels, which he has developed in Mexico and Latin America as well as worldwide.

The knowledge of the sector and his practice in the design and implementation of social communication campaigns for the government of Mexico, in additions to directing communication areas for pharmaceutical companies such as Johnson & Johnson and Merck, will add greater experience to the work developed by the firm within the Healthcare Area and will allow it to address new solutions which will anticipate to the client’s market needs.

Javier Marín began his professional career at the Mexican government’s Newsletter Program Production Center and later, he designed campaigns to prevent public health problems such as HIV, cholera and acute respiratory diseases among other health issues. Marín also has experience in consulting, having served as Vice President of the area of Health and Wellness in Fleishman-Hillard Mexico, where he developed communication strategies for pharmaceutical companies and health industry organizations.

In the pharmaceutical industry, he has developed corporate communication projects in the fields of access and public affairs, social responsibility and patients’ rights in different therapeutic areas in Mexico, Latin America and at a global level.

His most recent position was Director of Communication for Latin America and Canada at Philip Morris International, based in New York City.

Javier Marín holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising from the Center of Studies of Communication Science, with a diploma in Lobbying and Law Creation in the Mexican Political System by the Iberoamericana University; He holds a certification of Political Marketing by The George Washington University, a Master Degree in Corporate Communication by the Panamericana University and a Communication Major from the University of Arizona’s Thunderbird Business school.
