Àngels Chacón joins LLYC as new Senior Director of Corporate Strategy based in Barcelona. In this position, she will bring her experience in the public and private sectors to respond to the challenges that the firm’s companies and customers are facing in the current complex socioeconomic context. She will report directly to María Cura, Partner and Managing Director of LLYC Barcelona, with whom she will work in close collaboration to develop the priorities set in the short and long terms.

Àngels Chacón, a graduate in Law (UB), postgraduate in talent management in organizations (UB) and specialized in International Trade (CCI), has spent most of her professional life in the private sector as Export Manager in the paper industry, mainly in the Middle East and Eastern European markets. In addition to being Manager of the Business Union (UEA), she was promoter and co-Director of the 4DHealth Patient Safety Simulation Center.
She has also served as Generalitat de Catalunya’s Director-General of Industry and also its first woman Councilor of Business and Knowledge. With top responsibilities in the areas of Trade, Tourism, Energy, Industry, Universities and Research, she spearheaded initiatives such as the National Pact for the Knowledge Society. Previously, she was Deputy Mayor of Igualada City Council. There she was in charge of the areas of Economic Revitalization, Knowledge, Trade and Tourism and was Vice President of the European Association of Textile Collectivities (ACTE). She led and coordinated two transnational projects on urban strategy in European cities, URBACT; the first in the field of Health and Innovation and the second on the Retail sector.
