Albert Medrán, new Corporate Director at LLYC

Albert Medrán joins LLYC at its new Corporate Director and member of the firm’s Executive Committee. In this position, he will head up all the corporate departments associated with communication, reputation and the firm’s external relations: internal and external communication, social media strategy, the management of digital assets, the preparation of publications and reports, brand development and implementation and the ESG policy.

He has also been appointed as Managing Director of the LLYC Foundation. Its mission is to contribute to generate social value through the contribution of talent and expertise of the people who form part of LLYC, as a global communication, digital marketing and public affairs consultancy firm. In 2021, it helped 286 people through 13 local projects and one global project. Albert replaces Cristina Ysasi-Ysasmendi in the position who, after two years at the firm, has decided to tackle new professional challenges.

Since 2020, Albert Medrán has held the position of Director-General of the High Commission for Spain: Entrepreneurial Nation at the Presidency of the Government. Prior to that, he was the Chief of Staff of the State Secretariat for Digital Development at the Ministry of Economy and Business. He represented the State on the Board of Trustees of the Barcelona Mobile World Capital Foundation and formed part of the Red.es and Incibe councils. He was previously the Director of Communication at Actuable and at Change.org between 2011 and 2017. He has now returned to LLYC where he worked for three years as a communication consultant in the digital department.

Albert Medrán holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Administration from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, a Master’s Degree in Political Marketing and Post-graduate Studies in Political Communication, both from ICPS-Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona.
